OPPORTUNITY SUMMARY

The Logistics Personnel will work under the guidance of the Site Manager shipping, receiving and sorting recyclables and maintaining the warehouse, all operational equipment, and coordination with regional team members in the absence of the Site Manager or Warehouse Lead.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sorting and organizing warehouse
• Shipping supplies to clients
• Under the direction of the Site Manager, receiving of recyclables at the warehouse
• Reporting and tracking weights of materials
• Warehousing (to keep the space clean and tidy)
• Working with Site Manager on inventory control
• Sending marketing materials and documents from the office to the clients
• Assisting Site Manager, Operations Coordinator and/or Operations Manager with any ongoing projects (e.g. new materials for the company to explore, new vendors search, accompany any site visits from county, vendors and partners) and new projects
• Assisting the Site Manager, Operations Coordinator and/or Operations Manager to create the most efficient routines and operations
• Working with the Site Manager to maintain vendor relationships
• Staying abreast of companywide communication
• Sorting materials into groups as necessary
• Replacing Logistics personnel while on vacation
• Forklift/stacker operation might be required
• Handling inbound and outbound UPS shipment (including scanning and label printing)
• Assist with baler operation
• You may be required to mentor new employees when assigned
• Other projects as needed

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• Comfortable lifting packages of up to 40-50lbs
• Ability to work independently and autonomously
• Team player, with a high degree of motivation and desire to collaborate with others to build and maintain relationships
• Ability to proactively resolve problems
• Diligent and detail focused
• Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment; willingness to learn; capability to prioritize
• Strong English verbal communication

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school degree preferred
• Work experience in a warehouse an asset
• Has operated and excelled in a fast-paced environment
• Forklift certification an asset
