Job Description : Hyde Park mom seeking an experienced Mother’s Helper for her 7-year-old. Start mid-August.

Schedule: Guaranteed 20 hours per week. Monday-Friday, 6:30am-11:30am (hours are flexible to meet candidates/families needs). Mom also travels for a few overnight trips a month—would like Nanny to be able to assist with staying overnight.

Compensation : $25-$30/hour, + vacation, holidays, sick days

Job Details and Responsibilities:

• One child: a 7-year-old who will attend school full-time.
• Primary tasks include making breakfast and packing the child’s lunch, taking the child to school, and light housekeeping related to the child (tidying and organizing, kitchen clean-up, putting clothes away, child laundry/bedding).
• During the school day when the child is not at home, responsibilities will include running errands, groceries, meal prep, etc.
• When assisting with overnight stays, Mother’s Helper would pick up the child from school, help with homework, do activities, and make dinner.
• Mom would love to have someone who will play/read with her child as well as doing creative activities and outside play.
• Mom works from home most days in a separate space.
• Family has two small dogs. Mother’s Helper will assist with taking the dogs out and feeding them. Should like pets!

Qualifications:

• Should have extensive, verifiable experience.
• Is looking for a long-term commitment with the family.
• Family would love someone who is organized and proactive about finding what needs to be done.
• Should be patient and understanding—is able to foster a connection.
• Reliable and communicative. Will make sure to arrive on time each day.
• Driving is required for the role. Candidate should have a safe driving record and will use their own vehicle.
