We are seeking a motivated and reliable Recycling Sorter to join our team in Lakeland, FL. As a Recycling Sorter, you will play a crucial role in the recycling process by efficiently sorting and separating recyclable materials from incoming waste. Your efforts will directly contribute to our mission of diverting reusable materials from landfills and promoting a more sustainable environment.

• Sort and separate recyclable materials, such as paper, plastic, glass, and metal, from incoming waste on conveyor belts or designated sorting areas.
• Identify and remove non-recyclable items and contaminants from the recycling stream.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to company safety guidelines and proper waste disposal procedures.
• Operate machinery and equipment used in the sorting process, following operational guidelines and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and proper sorting practices.
• Monitor the conveyor belt and sorting process to prevent jams or other operational issues.
• Assist with general maintenance and cleaning of the recycling facility as needed.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in 10hr shifts, including standing for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and the ability to differentiate between various types of materials.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and the ability to follow safety protocols.
• Team player with good communication skills.

We are looking for sorters at a recycling center in Lakeland.

We will train you!! No experience necessary! START IMMEDIATELY! **Weekly PAY**

Material comes down a conveyer belt. Your job will be removing recyclable materials such as plastics, cans and cardboard.

Recyclable materials are placed in bins behind you.

Positions are temp-to-perm with a short temporary period. Great company that offers great benefits!
