Job Description

The Sr. Exhibit Detailer is responsible for interpretation of concept control drawings and creation of drawings for estimating (BOM), Construction (including CNC), and Installation of the exhibit.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE:

Productivity (60%)

· Creation of drawings relating to the Bill of Materials (BOM) and fabrication of exhibits

· Participate in “how to build” discussions.

· Specification of materials and other buyouts for purchasing dept.

· Provide CNC files

· Collaborate with account team to provide all drawings for show services and installation of exhibits.

· Accurately utilize existing client inventories

· Provide solutions that build upon our current methods of exhibit fabrication and installation.

Communication (20%)

· Accurate and thorough drawings, dimensions, and notations

· Positive outlook during times of heavy workloads

· Participate in project & departmental meetings.

· Provide leadership & share expertise in all matters concerning exhibit detailing.

· Proactive dialog with project managers, production staff and Installers.

Quality Control and Maintenance (20%)

· Set & maintain relevant, exceptional & competitive design engineering & manufacturing standards.

· File organization and version control

· Production ready CNC files

· Maintain library of resources, materials, techniques

· Accuracy & completeness of all documentation

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in 3d design or engineering field with 5 years of experience working in the exhibit/theater/event industry
  • Computer Skills:

    • Syteline/ERP: Basic Skill Level

    • Microsoft Office: Intermediate Skill Level

    • Data management software (Vault): Expert

    • 3D CAD software (Inventor): Expert Skill Level

    • 2D CAD software (AutoCAD): Expert Skill Level

    • CNC CAD/CAM software: Expert

  • Ability to interpret documents & design drawings such as brand guidelines, booth elevations, creative briefs, and procedure manuals. Strong verbal communication skills when dealing with internal customers. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, vendors, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community

  • Concurrently manage multiple shows, multiple clients, multiple graphics within each exhibit; each graphic may contain multiple components. Must manage version control throughout approval process. Position requires policing design server for excessive files & archiving
